Piano (Graduate)
Prescreening Requirement: All graduate piano applicants are required to submit a prescreening CD along with their other application materials. Selections should include one major work from the Classical period and one major work from the Romantic period (one movement from each). Only CD recordings will be reviewed; other media-types will not be considered. Submitted recordings will remain property of the University of Illinois School of Music and will not be returned. Please label your CD with your name and "Prescreening Piano".
Audition Requirements: Applicants for the M.M. or D.M.A. must present an audition program approximately the length of a full recital, including: a major work from the Baroque period, a major work from the Classical period, a major work from the Romantic period, and a major work from the twentieth century. Applicants will also be asked to sight-read.
Note: Piano Performance candidates may also apply for an Accompanying Assistantship.
