IMPROVISATION/NEW COMPOSITION CONCERT TO TAKE PLACE NOVEMBER 5

"Small, Medium, and Free," a concert of innovative new compositions and improvisations,will take place on Thursday, November 5, 7:30pm, at the Krannert Art Museum. The concert will feature Dorothy Martirano (violin), Yu-Chen Wang (Gu-Zheng, Chinese Zither), Armand Beaudoin (bass), and Morgan Powell and Erik Lund (trombones). Among the works to be performed are new virtuoso compositions for solo violin by Powell and Lund; an experimental work for multiple metronomes and performers by Beaudoin; a tour de force contemporary work for the ancient Gu-Zheng; and collective improvisations. The concert is free and open to the public.
